Become a River Swimmer!
Nothing can be easier: just register for one of the events listed on the MRSS website and you’re in!
As soon as you completed any of the swims listed on the MRSS website, from 2022.
No, 2022 is the starting year for the series.
If you swam an event several times, the last finishing year will count for the series.
You must refer and obey to each event rules listed on their respective webpage Flow Des Gabarriers, glommadyppen, and UltraEbre.
When you become a finisher of any of the listed swim within each of the MRRS events, as well as the gifts or medals offered by the individual event, you will also receive a MRSS Finisher Badge.
Collect them all to complete the series and receive a special prize from our partners. The prize will be given when you complete your third event. Expect a BIG fuss!
You have a maximum of 5 years to complete the series, it can be done in any order.
You can also swim them all in one year if you dare to!
There is no “combo” discount available, but check the discount policy for each event on their websites.
You can attend the swims with a friend, but the challenge is for solo swimmers only; relays are not eligible.
Yes, if the rules of the swim you intend to complete allows it. The rules are established depending on river temperatures that can vary a lot from Norway to Spain!
No, each event is run independently from each other.
Maybe but as a start you could brag you are listed on the Wall of Fame on the Series website!
Meet the Marathon River Men and Women
The idea for the series is new, and we are therefore waiting to crown our first Marathon River Man or Woman. All finishers from the 3 events since 2022 have been automatically entered. You can see all eligible swimmers and their progress towards the title.
